About Me
My name is Erkki Corpuz. I was born on December 1, 1977 in
Oxnard, California to Camilo and Irene Corpuz. They were married two years earlier, in 1975, and I was their first child. According to my mother, I was a really good baby. I didn't cry that much, and I always finished all of my food. My father was in Antarctica with the United States Navy at the time of my birth, so he didn't see me until after I had been a bundle of joy for quite some time.
As I grew into a toddler, I began to discover many things that interested me. Some of my earliest memories were of drawing pictures with my Crayola crayons and riding around on my big wheel. Television also became something that I enjoyed very much. I loved game shows and commercials the most. But I think that I got my start as an intellectual when my dad would look things up in the encyclopedia with me. We were always reading about U.S. Presidents, and I soon had read about all of them. My desire for knowledge didn't stop there, though. My mother would take me to the public library and I would check out books on a multitude of subjects, ranging from animals to space travel.
